Dear Alison & Nick
My wife and I wanted to drop you a note to thank you for all your help with the purchase of our first home aboard.
Firstly, we’ve never purchased in a foreign Country so the whole prospect of looking for properties abroad was quite daunting and nerve racking at the same time.
Having heard lots of horror stories about peoples experiences buying property in foreign countries finding an agent that we felt comfortable with and able to trust was always going to be one of the most important things.
The whole process of my wife and I looking to buy abroad started months in advance of actually coming into contact with yourselves and purely by chance I think this came around.
Even before meeting yourself and Nick the initial conversations via email came over in a very trustworthy manner with an honest tone and guiding us to what was realistic for our price range and most importantly what to avoid.
When we first started looking we were not sure on which area would suit our requirements best as we were looking for a holiday home and property that we at the same time could rent out to generate income.
It’s safe to say that the property and area we eventually settled on was quite some distance from the original area that we were looking at but in hindsight was definitely the right thing to do as it was within our budget and also ticked all the boxes for potential rental income.
After a few emails my wife and I decided that we were going to come over and view some properties not just with yourself being honest but also to get a feel for the area.
We met two or three agents along with yourselves and I can honestly say that once we met Alison and Nick along with the young lady in training (excuse me but her name escapes me) we were pretty much immediately at ease and felt as though we had an honest and trustworthy guide to our purchase.
The team at Citrine we’re all very helpful and accommodating to all of our questions and requests for information and feedback reference our property search.
Every aspect was covered and assisted with from viewings, price negotiation, legal advice all the way through to completion.
My wife and I wish to thank both Nick and Alison and the Citrine team for helping us through the whole process.
