The outdoor swimming pool is usually open June, July August and September and there are adjoining tennis courts. Torremendo is famous for the beautiful lake of La Pedrera which is just a short walk from the village itself and offers stunning scenery as well as great health benefits. There are a couple of outdoor leisure centers close to the lake offering horse-riding, quad-biking, kayaking, archery etc. The airports of Alicante and Covera are both about a 45/50 minute drive away.
San Miguel De Salinas is a popular place to live for many, known locally as the Balcony of Costa Blanca because it looks out over the plains of the River Segura, the neighboring salt lakes and the Mediterranean coast. The town is a pretty traditional Spanish town with an array of services and amenities such as tapas bars, shops, restaurants, a pharmacy, health center, banks, bus service, sports facilities and more. There are several good golf courses close by such as La Finca, La Marquesa, Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor. The beautiful beaches of Guardamar and La Mata are a 15/20 minute drive away as are the Orihuela Cost resorts. Alicante airport is a 45 minute drive away and the new Corvera airport can be reached in approx 50 minutes.
